

Mixael Cabrera
Mixael Cabrera Caballero, born on July 3, 1983, in Botín, Sitio Grande, in the province of Villa Clara (Cuba), is a renowned Cuban singer, tresero (tres player), composer, and producer in the contemporary Latin music scene.
Deeply connected to his roots, he is often nicknamed "El Sonero de la loma del Botín", a reference to his hometown and the musical heritage he champions.
From a young age, he was influenced by his grandfather, Isidro Cabrera, and began participating in local festivals and cultural events.
He later trained professionally at the Centro Provincial de Superación para la Cultura Ángel Román González Borrell in Villa Clara, specializing in the Cuban tres.
Mixael Cabrera’s career is marked by a steadfast commitment to preserving and promoting traditional Cuban music genres, such as son, bolero, changüí, chachachá, rumba, and timba, while infusing them with a modern and personal touch.
In 2016, he released his debut album, "Llegó lo que te gusta", recorded and produced in Barcelona, where he settled and developed much of his career. He handled vocals, composition, and tres playing on all tracks. In 2017, he followed up with "Origen", recorded in Havana, featuring collaborations with renowned Cuban artists and musicians.
He continued his discography with "El Son Se Viste de Gala" in 2019, and the ambitious project "Lo mejor de mí", recorded between Havana, Mexico, and his native region in Cuba.
The second volume of this project, released in 2022, brought together several major figures of contemporary Cuban music.
Today, Mixael Cabrera is recognized as one of the most authentic and versatile representatives of the new generation of Cuban artists. Highly active in Europe, he captivates both traditional music lovers and international dancers and audiences, thanks to his work that stays true to the spirit of Cuban son while embracing global influences.
