CARAMELOCO
Carameloco is a Latin-fusion artist based in Paris, known for his energetic and dance-driven musical universe, often described as salsa funk.
The project skillfully blends the roots of Latin music—salsa, son cubano, timba, guaguancó—with funk and modern grooves.
The group performs an entirely original repertoire, written, composed, and arranged by its founder and leader, Cyprien Corgier, also known as Carameloco. His musical style stands out with catchy melodies, powerful arrangements, and a strong commitment to getting the audience on their feet.
Carameloco performs in various lineups, typically ranging from 7 to 11 musicians, featuring vocals, electric guitar, piano, bass, a brass section (trumpet, saxophone, trombone), and Afro-Cuban percussion (congas, timbales), sometimes accompanied by drums. This rich instrumentation creates a sound that is festive, dense, and contemporary.
On stage, the group is known for its high-energy live performances and constant interaction with the audience. Carameloco regularly performs at festivals, concert halls, and cultural events across France, captivating both Latin music enthusiasts and audiences eager to explore new musical fusions.
In 2025, the group released the track "La Felicidad", perfectly embodying its musical identity: warm, modern music focused on sharing, dancing, and celebration.
