Candela Collectif is far more than just an orchestra: it is a musical adventure born from the passion of Parisian musicians for salsa dura, the iconic movement of the 1970s that left its mark on the history of Latin music. Founded by experienced artists, the collective has made it their mission to revive the spirit and energy of the legendary recordings of Fania Records, the New York label that propelled salsa onto the international stage.

Their approach is built on meticulous arrangements, generous performances, and an unwavering commitment to the authenticity of the genre’s greatest classics. Candela Collectif draws inspiration from the repertoire of the Fania All Stars, the mythical ensemble that brought together the biggest names in salsa, delivering performances that blend powerful brass, hypnotic percussion, and stage energy designed first and foremost for dancing.

Every concert is an invitation to travel through time, rediscovering the golden age of salsa through a total musical immersion. The group doesn’t just play songs—they recreate the atmosphere of the legendary Fania nights, where music was both an art and a collective celebration. Their stage becomes a space for sharing, movement, and joy, staying true to the original spirit of salsa.

Committed, passionate, and demanding, the members of Candela Collectif preserve a musical legacy while infusing it with their modern sensibility. Their project is an ode to live music, Latin culture, and the universal joy of celebration. Whether on stage or in the studio, their goal remains the same: to convey the emotion, energy, and authenticity of salsa dura, ensuring that every audience member leaves with a smile and the urge to dance.
